Forest Camp (a 4-day week for Session 1-Monday-Thursday)--for ages 6-11
(there is no preschool Camp this week, and there will be an older group--the Ramblers (rising 8th-12th graders)--who will be doing a Backpacking Camp.

Oaks (rising 4th-6th grades)--Overnight campout (without families) at Group Camp
Ramblers (ages 13-17)--Camping / Backpacking in Pisgah (this camp requires a different Registration and fee). Do not use this registration form for Ramblers Camp.
The cost of the Evening Adventures is built into the cost of Forest Camp. All evening adventures are optional for campers / families.
We have a communication plan and inside back-up location in the event of Severe Weather.

Every week at Mountain Roots Day Camp, campers have the opportunity to explore different topics like nature, art, music, gardening, exploration, community, and more. We structure the day so that there are times for free play and times for activities.
Our full-day camp activities are designed for rising 1st-4th grade campers (and every now and then 5th graders-with admin approval).
A note to parents of 5th graders: If your child enjoys structured activities, free play, and outdoor exploration, Mountain Roots could be a great fit. If your child is growing out of these sorts of activities, then it might not be. Please reach out to our admin team at [email protected] to discuss the possible fit of our camps for your rising 5th grader. Our Forest Camp is for Ages 6-11, so the first session (June 14-17-tentatively), could be a great way to get them to experience camp if they enjoy a more rustic setting.
Please contact Mountain Roots if you have any questions.
